BitcoinAverage.com re-launches with massive upgrade, brand new API & bitcoin transaction tools
The blockchain’s longest running weighted price tool for current and historical bitcoin price information upgrades features
LOCATION, UK, Monday, 17th October 2016 – BitcoinAverage.com, the long-established Bitcoin Price Index, is proud to announce the deployment of version 2 of the site and it’s API featuring the Global Bitcoin Price Index (GBX), Fiat Currency Market Indices, and data on individual exchanges at bitcoinaverage.com
===
Founded in 2013, the website has established itself as one of the web’s trusted sources of reliable pricing information on digital assets including bitcoin, litecoin and ethereum using it’s long-respected weighted average price. The service monitors cryptocurrency trading volume and price movements across all major exchanges, and converts this into over 160 worldwide currencies.
The site has been fully redeveloped with a brand new UI, localisation into ten languages, and an easier to use interface. Users can optionally register to allow them to save price queries, and access a number of useful widgets. A new feature developed on the back of beta testing allows accounting departments needing to retrospectively work out the fiat value of a transaction to simply input the transaction id, and retrieve the price back.
Basic current and historical price information will remain free with certain limitations for all free users, and plans are available for developers, businesses and enterprises who have higher resolution data requirements, or require faster price updates, or the ability to create a custom index.
Speaking at the launch of BitcoinAverage.com V2, Shaun Gilchrist, the site’s founder, said:
“Our team has put a huge amount of time and effort into making a modern, flexible and useful price tool for digital assets. We would request people using our API to create an account, get new API keys and check out some of the new features. We’d also like to reassure people that the old API will remain live for a duration, and the original source on Github”.
